Genomic DNA

Principle

This kit is designed for fast isolation of genomic DNA from bacteria. The kit contains a spin column for binding up to 10µg of genomic DNA. Nucleotides, proteins, salts, and other impurities do not bind to the MX-10 Column. Purified genomic DNA can be applied in most molecular biology experiments including restriction digestion, PCR, Southern-blotting etc.

Procedure

Samples are lysed (see protocol), buffering conditions are adjusted, and lysate is loaded onto the spin column. DNA is selectively bound to the MX-10 column while impurities pass through. Remaining impurities are washed away. Pure genomic DNA is eluted in water or low-salt buffer, ready to use in a variety of downstream applications.

Principle

This MX-10 spin column mini-preps kit is designed for a fast isolation of genomic DNA from clinical samples such as fresh or frozen whole blood (with common anti-coagulants such as citrate, EDTA, and heparin), serum, bone, other body fluids and cell suspensions. 200µl-400µl per column of healthy whole blood sample is enough to obtain 6-12µg of pure genomic DNA. Nucleotides, proteins, salts, and other impurities do not bind to the MX-10 Column. Purified blood genomic DNA can be applied in most molecular biology experiments including restriction digestion, PCR, Southern-blotting etc.

Storage

With the exception of the Proteinase K, the kit may be stored at room temperature. The proteinase K should be stored at -20ºC. The kit is stable for 12 months at room temperature. For longer storage, keep all contents cold.

The Plant material is suspended in CTAB genomic DNA extraction buffer. Cells are then lysed by osmotic shock and salt precipitate the cell debris. Proteins are then precipitated using phenol chloroform and followed by ethanol precipitation of DNA.

Principle

This kit provides a convenient and stright forward method for purification of mRNA from cells or tissues.
