LiveGEL:tm: Imager is an innovation by Medox Biotech designed and developed after extensive research and evaluation to suit the needs of our customers. High resolution cameras provide vivid images with sharp bands. The special “pull-out” tray design enables easy placement of the gel and its subsequent capture.
The MEDOX LiveGEL Viewer enables the user to view bands while the gel is still running. This is performed employing the use of 470nm blue light LEDs which causes the DNA bands to fluoresce. Unlike UV, since blue light is in the visible spectrum, it is harmless to the user as well as the DNA. This instrument also helps in finding whether the DNA is present in the sample within just two minutes.
